NICE WORKPLACE
At SURMBA it is very important to work in an environment in which our
collaborators feel very much like our company, that is why we will use the following
strategies to achieve the right environment.
1. PROMOTE RESPECT
A boss who orders and asks for tasks abruptly, with contempt and raising his tone
of voice, will demonstrate a lack of leadership and empathy. All this damages the
work environment, productivity and personal relationships. Promoting respect and
tolerance above all is of great importance to promote team harmony.
2. SEARCH THE FEEDBACK WITH EMPLOYEES
That each employee feels like a person and not a number within an organization is
very important. People like to feel integrated and have their opinion taken into
account. All this helps to feel that you are part of a project.
Also, feedback with employees must be carefully and consistently worked out. You
have to invest time and space to listen to your team.
3. LEADERSHIP CAPACITY
Flexibility in different situations that arise in the workplace and that are treated in a
personalized way, generates a positive work climate that fosters business success.
Knowing how to properly handle day-to-day crises is vital. Maintaining calm, order,
transmitting the right message to the team and showing confidence in managing
the problem are some aspects that help your employees to have absolute
confidence in you as a leader.
Another key aspect is getting employee involvement. Generating it is essential
through leadership techniques and adequate working conditions to avoid, for
example, absenteeism or poor performance.
4. RECOGNITION TO EMPLOYEES
When a job well done is not recognized, the work environment can progressively
deteriorate. Therefore, it is important that the company has a recognition system
that rewards and recognizes achievements. People like to feel valued and feel that
our opinion and tasks count. For example, encouraging employees to participate in
business decision-making will make them feel part of the team and is a way of
transmitting to them that for us they are important even to decide where the
organization wants to go.
6. TIME FLEXIBILITY
There are already many studies that corroborate that the traditional office hours
from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. tend to be less and less efficient at the productive level in
companies.
Not all people work productively at the same hours and flexibility in hours also
helps to reconcile family and personal life. Employees will appreciate the gesture
and feel personally valued.
Another option is to be able to offer telematic work if the business allows it. Being
able to work from home once a week, for example. The idea is to work for goals
and objectives rather than covering the clock. This degree of autonomy that is
granted to people favors achieving a good climate.
