Complete the sentence below:

In this interactive white board activity, the children will touch the board to
determine what the correct answer is to the Jeopardy question and learn how to
multiply and divide mixed numbers and fractions.

For example: In this interactive white board activity, the children will touch the
board to move and sort authors by time period and learn about literary genres.

Activity I want to start by communicating to students a brief idea of what

the lesson plan for the day is. I aim for students to have an open
mind on the knowledge that they are about to experience. I want
to focus on 6.5 specifically today due to this being the first step
we take that deals with the following lesson. I want to build off
this lesson and make sure my students possess the tools they
need to be successful. When they are dealing with fractions and
mixed numbers. The class will begin with a brief discussion on
multiplying and dividing fractions and how mixed numbers are
used in Mathematics. Students will begin having an idea of what
fractions, mixed numbers, and how we can multiply and divide
them. Once students have been familiarized with the definitions
we will start the interactive lesson. Before that I want to go over
the rules of classic Jeopardy. This interactive game focuses on
specifically point A of 6.5. In the Jeopardy game there are two
teams. The score is shown at the top of the board. To pick team
A and B I will split the class evenly in half. The game is divided
into five categories. Students will have the choice of selecting
from dividing fractions, multiplying fractions, multiplying mixed
numbers and dividing mixed numbers and mystery represents the
final category. The goal of this game is for each student from
team A and B to try at least one of the questions and feel
comfortable. Even if a question is answered wrong the person
from the other team has the chance to receive those points that
were missed. Each category begins with 100 points and this
where I desire all of my students to start. Once they feel as
though they have interpreted these 100-pont questions, we can
advance as a class. I want to attempt and succeed at students
following this lesson. When students have felt questions were
challenging and still need help. We will review the question as a
class after all of the point level is tried. When it is a students’
turn to answer a question, they will go to the board and click the
category they want and a question from the point level we are at.
When students are interpreting their question, they will examine
it on their own first and have one chance to answer. If they have
answered wrong, they will untangle it with their teammates. On
the question slide, there is a question mark image, and this where
students will tap the image to receive my help. When students
are struggling I will be right there to direct them. I will offer
three hints every question. Once the hints run out and they have
answered with their teammates, the question goes to the other
team to answer. I want this game to be fun and engaging for
students while they are grasping a new concept.
