3 OPTIONS TO START SAVING

We offer 3 options for you to switch to solar:

1. Solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)

Switch to solar energy at ZERO capex + opex

2. Build-operate-transfer (BOT)
Switch to solar for ZERO capex + opex and purchase it
later at a discounted price

3. Turnkey Solution
Invest in your own Solar Energy System (about RM3
million / 1 megawatt peak [MWp])
OPTION 1: SOLAR PPA

• We install solar panels on your building’s roof/vacant

spaces at ZERO Capex + ZERO Operation & Maintenance
Cost.

• You only pay for the solar energy that is generated, at a

lower rate than your current electricity provider.

• Your company immediately enjoys cheaper electricity (up to

20% cheaper/month). For example, if the current electricity
bill is RM200,000/month, your company will enjoy direct
savings of up to RM40,000/month.

• Your company directly saves up to RM480,000 every year.

OPTION 1: SOLAR PPA

• The savings of up to 20% can be higher if a larger

system (i.e. 2-3 MWp) is installed.

• There is a 21-year PPA (Power Purchase

Agreement).

• At the end of the 21-year PPA, your company will

own the solar energy system at ZERO Cost & can
continue using it to generate electricity.
OPTION 2: BUILD – OPERATE –
TRANSFER (BOT)

• Similar to Option 1, we will install solar panels on

your building’s roof/vacant spaces at ZERO Capex +
Opex.

• Your company can buy over the solar energy system

at a discounted price at any time during the 21-year
PPA (Power Purchase Agreement).

• Your company can continue using the solar energy

system to generate electricity for its business
operations.
OPTION 3: TURNKEY SOLUTION

• Your company invests in and owns the solar energy

system

• Your company receives 100% of the benefits of investing

in the solar energy system:
a) reduction in your electricity bills
b) tax breaks/incentives & allowances for your
investment

• Estimated CAPEX: RM3 million for every 1 megawatt-

peak (1 MWp) [excluding inter-connection work]
OPTION 3: TURNKEY SOLUTION

• 1MWp can produce about 1,300,000 kWh of electricity

annually

• Estimated annual OPEX: RM30,000 (1% of CAPEX)

• The typical payback is 6 - 9 years at RM0.441/kWh –

RM0.509/kWh (TNB’s current commercial/industrial tariff)

• We will assist your company to apply as Net Energy

Metering (NEM) consumer under Sustainable Energy
Development Authority of Malaysia (SEDA) & apply to
MIDA for tax breaks
