Evidence: Job interview

Imagine you are applying for a new job. Below you will find some common job
interview questions. For this evidence, you have to record yourself while you
answer them. Dress up. Look professional. Pay attention to your body language.
Show you really want to get that job. Remember to use the grammar structures
and vocabulary you have practiced within this learning activity.

1. If you could start your career over again, what would you do differently?

If I could change one thing, I probably would have added a language to my


college focus. Learning Mandarin would have helped me contribute even more
to my previous companies.

2. During your performance reviews, what criticism do you hear the most?

My manager told me that I should send more updates. He told me I did my


projects well, and that I was never late, but he would like more updates so he
can report to his manager.
3. Tell me about your last position?

I worked for a large insurance company as an agent. I made sales to new


customers and provided customer service to existing customers. I worked with
three other people in my group and we helped each other by sharing ideas and
experiences.

4. What is your work philosophy?

Commitment, dedication and loyalty towards work – Commitment will bring in


dedication, hard work and best results.

5. How have you changed professionally speaking in the last two years?

I have changed some aspects that should be improved, such as not being
distracted, focusing on the most important things and valuing any detail.

6. Tell me about the best manager you have ever had.

The best trainer I have ever had is called Hugo Amaya. He was my supervisor
when I worked in a call center. He knew a lot and shared it with everyone.

7. What were the most memorable accomplishments in your last position?

The most memorable accomplishment I had as a sales associate for a internet


company was closing a contract with a customer worth $ 3.000.000. This was
the largest order i ever had and it felt like hitting a grand slam.

8. Why do you want to leave your current job?

because I want to start a new path with new goals to meet and new people to
meet

9. In your previous position, how much time did you spend learning how to do
things better?

New things are always learned, and there are always things to improve, that's
why I apply continuous improvement
10. If you’re very happy with your current job, why do you want to leave?

Because I want to have new goals and learn new things
