STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Currently, I am a B.Com Graduate from Shri Sahajanand College of Commerce, Ahmedabad. My overall
score is good, with especially high scores in finance related courses, which is due to my interest in the
subject. My B.Com degree has given a strong foundation to my management skills and has inculcated in
me a passion for business administration. Being a fresh commerce graduate with a goal to manage my
own company some day MBA seemed to perfectly fit into my scheme of things. My excellent grasping
power and a desire to learn would make me a suitable candidate for your esteemed institute.

I have also undergone Certification Courses from Kredent Academy in the field of Finance. During
summer holidays, I used to help my father in managing accounts at our family business. This exposure
has helped me complement my theoretical studies with a small amount of practical application.

So now in order to pursue a successful career in finance, I need in-depth knowledge of the subject along
with its practical application. Having gone through the course structure of PGDM at NMIMS, I believe
that it will provide me a right set of electives to propel me towards achieving my long term goal of
leading a finance department of an organization.

NMIMS being one of the most prestigious institute of management provides a solid base to an
individual's identity. The case-study based pedagogy, simulation games, different clubs and committees
etc. will provide me with a holistic development and right platform to achieve my goal.
