STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

I Narinder Kaur, grew up looking up to my father’s passion for business and excellent skills in
managing it. He owns a Crane hiring company and also provide scrap breakdown service in India. His
great management in smaller projects initially earned him places in big private projects as well as
government many projects. His good reputation as an employer and skills in motivating and
effectively managing his employees in completing difficult assignments in short time have always
made me realize how critical it is to learn best management practices for success of any
organization.

After acquiring my undergraduate degree in Journalism & Mass Communication in 2008, in pursuit
of a satisfactory career in management, I enrolled for a Post Graduate Diploma in Management
with specialization in Human Resource as a stepping stone along the path to a successful career in
the field of business management. This diploma helped me to learn basic concepts of organization
behavior, management process, and subject such as labour law and manpower planning.
Furthermore, I started my career as School Administrative Coordinator cum Primary Teacher,
growing from a seedling of a primary teacher to blooming tree of being an HR manager I have learnt
well. My work experience as a Manager HR & Administration has helped me gain valuable
management skills such as team work and collaboration. Now, I feel that it is time for me to seek a
fruitful aspect in my career and , therefore I wish to continue my studies which I believe is the ideal
step for my academic as well as professional growth.

After consulting with my peers and seniors and checking course contents thoroughly, I am convinced
that Royal Roads University is a better option with high standards and global recognition. I believe
Masters of Global Management from Royal Road University will equip me with the knowledge and
skills to lead in the global workplace. In addition, the program offers practical learning experience
and an opportunity to learn to work effectively with individuals from across the world.

But unfortunately, my visa has been rejected. I do not want to miss this opportunity and
considering
the view point of Immigration Officer I reappeared in IELTS EXAM and successfully upgraded my
writing skills with 6.5 Bands. Also, I requested Royal Roads University to remove the condition of
Pre-Master’s program and provide a new Letter of Acceptance for May ‘2019, I am honored that
university considered my request and provided the same. The only requirement left now is to
submit my new Statement of Intent to the university.

To support my education and living expenses in Canada, my husband and father are sponsoring
me. I have made full advance payment of my tuition fee CAD $32180 and also deposited CAD $
10,000 in GIC account with The Bank of Nova Scotia. I have submitted university payment receipts
and supporting financial documents along with my application.

Additionally, I have chosen this university because it is a modern, innovative university with a
heritage of top-quality education. The university nurture students to become educated, employable
and entrepreneurial global citizens. The university provides amazing student services such as study
skills development and career guidance along with superb facilities.

I anticipate that after completion of the program would open up a variety of opportunities and can
facilitate advancement of my career in areas of management such as Human Resource and
Marketing. I also believe the international business degree would help me launch my career in
multinational organization in India and to secure a senior managerial position in the next five to 10
years’ time period.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that Masters of Global Management from Royal Roads University,
Canada is a natural extension of my academic pursuits and my sole intention is to get the best
education from a recognized institute in Canada and come back to India and launch my career in a
multinational company. Therefore, I request you to issue me Student Visa to accomplish my career
aspirations.
