A highly knowledgeable and motivated individual with excellent communication skills both orally and verbally and pays
greater attention to details in my work. I am an organized and adaptable human resources manager with several years’
experience working in various office environments both with Local and expat staff.

My attention to detail and excellent time management skills means that every task is completed efficiently and to the
highest possible standard. I have a calm and patient disposition meaning that I am able to work effectively under pressure
and focus on the task in hand. I am proficient working in a team, but also work well independently. I am flexible, always

In this role, I oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes by promoting corporate values and shaping a
positive culture in the company. My duties are developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the
overall business strategy, bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues,
policy updating, advise & management, drive compliance managing the recruitment and selection processes , supporting
current and future business needs through the development, trainings, engagement, motivation and preservation of human
capital and developing and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization.

 Successfully revised the company’s policies and structure by altering established procedures, processes or other
daily operations, modifying the scope or objectives of the policy, relating to changes in legislation and correcting
a serious inconsistency. This helped to streamline compliance at work by the employees.

 Together with the sales team we vigorously engaged staff on performance, productivity and accountability, with
this drive, the company managed to hit its bottom-line for the year 2019.

 Improved efficiency, lead time, Accountability and supervision of staff and this has brought about improved
compliance by 80%.

 Currently working on developing the HR Soft-ware Module together with the system developer and this is
aiming at reducing on manual and clerical work in the department for effectiveness and efficiency.

 Currently improving on the work procedures by streamlining the HR Operations through going paperless by
instituting a document management system, carried out employee management by effectively empowering
employees to offer their best, tracking paid time off (PTO) and outsourcing for risk management and cost
savings.

 Effectively run the Performance Appraisal Exercise which has increased employee satisfaction greatly who are
appreciating the essence of tracking and monitoring performance in a more systematic and streamlined manner.

 Carried out HR Audit to review current policies, procedures, documentation and systems to identify needs for
improvement and enhancement of the HR function as well as to assess compliance with ever-changing rules and
regulations. This helped to close on all the gaps in not only HR but even other departments.
 Effectively managed risks by ensuring compliance with Health and Safety best practices within the context,
interpreting the Ugandan Labor laws to line managers and ensure that HR operations are within the provisions of
the law and ensuring effective Compensation & Benefits Management and strategy.

 Successfully brought about positive energy, optimism and flexibility not only in my department but across the
organization and this has helped drive and improve performance amongst staff.

 Initiated monthly supervisor performance meetings and this has greatly improved attention to detail and
increased numbers.

 Successfully carried out national trainings across 11 towns with 19 shops and over 70 staff.

We currently looking into initiating balanced score card as a tool of performance this is as a result of my proposal and
hands on with the same tool.

While here, I was responsible for facilitating and efficiently carrying out daily human resources functions of the company
as well as general administrative responsibilities as and when need arises to ensure the end to end running of HR projects
and operations.

 Effectively managed performance management processes by through clearly outlining individual targets,
performance planning by studying results thus far, employee behavior towards their work and mapping out a
development plan to improve employees’ knowledge, skill and attitude, execution of the said plans, assessment
and reviewing the progress so far.

 Oversaw employee rewards, compensation and benefits which improved staff morale and commitment by 90 per
cent thereby improving performance.

 Trained and developed junior staff by changing in performance mindset which helped to enhance skills, saw an
improvement in performance deliveries and boosted overall productivity and ROI being tracked.

 Spearheaded HRIS in a bid to enable the HR department to spend less time on clerical tasks and ensure the
accuracy of employee data. This saw me spearhead about training for the company’s sister organizations in
Tanzania and Burundi in ERP HR Software/Module and greatly improved HR Payroll, attendance and HR
information system was greatly improved. It also reduced the time taken to process and execute work in the
system and was able to meet delivery timelines.

 Ensured adherence to local labor laws and practices and advised management on local labor law related issues to
avoid any legal implications. This came in handy while facilitating the separation of employees due to
resignation, termination and ensured that all the necessary exit documentation is completed.

 Served as the primary contact person for all project staff to ensure HR support is provided including disputes
resolution, communicating compensation programs to employees, company culture and employee engagement
new hire paperwork and compensation consultation services.

 Coordinated and administered support in major HR Functions which improved the turn-around time and saw
