Employee Relations
Mediate employee disputes in conjunction with the Head People and Culture.
Head People and Culture with labor relations and supervisory coaching.
Liaise with supervisors to prepare constructive corrective action documentation and ensure
proper processes are adhered to and records kept.
Advise and ensure consistency on the interpretation and operational application and legal
compliance of corporate policies, programs, guidelines and procedures.
Other
Assist the Head People and Culture in social audits.
Assist with the planning, development, refinement and implementation of HR-related
programs and procedure; collaborate with special projects as required.
Human Resources Specialist

Maintain current knowledge of all related employment legislations (i.e., Human
Rights Act, Employment Standards, Labour Relations Act, Occupational Health &
Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act)
Oversee and participate in the recruitment and selection process for both hourly
and salary positions.

(i.e., absenteeism, performance reviews status, turnover, vacation / leave of
absence/ emergency leave, overtime).
Manage the STA and LTD benefits.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of appropriate documentation throughout
employment history for all employees. Ensure all documentations are filed in
the appropriate section of the personnel file.
Selects, recommends, secures and schedules outsourced training as requested
Establishing Health and Safety programs, maintaining Health & Safety records and
communication boards, leading Joint Health and Safety Committee, and developing
and maintaining H/S protocols, procedures, processes and guidelines.
Updating the management team on open WSIB and disability cases and
provide recommendations on potential next steps.

Plan for employee engagement activities, coordinate and manage company events
Formulate spreadsheets, compile and update electronic data related to employees.
Conduct exit interviews, record employee grievances
End to end recruiting: prepare and post notices and advertisements, and collect and
screen applications, advise job applicants on the terms and conditions of
employment and notify applicants of results of selection process
Pre-screen candidates and conduct interviews
