Symphonic Band

Today I’m going to explain the group that I belong to, the characteristics of it, my function
in the group and how I feel about belonging to the group.

This is an instrument assembly different that an Orchestra, because the Orchestra

contains all the family of the Violin and whereas the Symphonic Band doesn’t. My function
in this group is to play the Flute, the instrument who often has the Melody in some
Musical works; this instrument is in front of the Director and I sometimes play the Piccolo
(tiny and very loud flute). In my opinion, been part of a Symphonic Band is a big
responsibility (not as an Orchestra) because it press out our Knowledge, our capacity, our
abilities, our Responsibility and our Instrument. I learn about the years, the real meaning
of effort because been the 1rst Flute is fighting to gain respect and consequently the
privilege of do solos or playing parts which are more difficult.

In conclusion been part of this group is beautiful, understand and look the music with
other eyes, earn values and learn to enjoy something extremely complicated. M usic
