a. Demonstrate the competencies required of the Philippine TVTET Trainers-Assessors Qualifications


Framework (PTTQF);
b. Demonstrate broad and coherent, meaningful knowledge and skills in any of the specific fields in
technical and vocational education;
c. Apply with minimal supervision specialized knowledge and skills in any of the specific fields in technical
and vocational education;
d. Demonstrate higher level literacy, communication, numeracy, critical thinking, learning skills needed for
higher learning;
e. Manifest a deep and principled understanding of the learning processes and the role of the teacher in
facilitating these processes in their students;

IX. COURSE DESCRIPTION : This course introduces BTVTED students to basic concepts,
theories, and principles on the different specializations they make take in their course. Specifically, this course will
give an overview on Technical Drafting, Illustration and 2D Animation. It also establishes the basics of Medical
Transcription, Digital Media Production and Web Application. In particular for BTVTED, this course will provide
students adequate understanding and skills in the use of computers and internet technology. It will cover the basic
computer concepts and uses of information and communication technology. Moreover, it deals with the development
of basic skills, techniques and appreciation on the Microsoft Windows operating system, Microsoft Word, Microsoft
Excel and internet for education.

I. COURSE OUTCOMES : At the end of the course, each student must have:

1. discussed the benefits of computer, and information and communication technology in education;
2. discovered the different techniques using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel;
3. increased and developed the skills, knowledge and techniques in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel;
4. appreciated the importance of using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel by making projects using these
applications;
5. developed the Interest and made use of Internet as a tool for communication and collaboration;
6. applied the integration of information and communication technology to education;
7. demonstrated understanding of the concepts on technical drafting, illustration, 2D animation and medical
transcription;
8. designed a digital media using a movie maker application;
9. developed basic concepts in web designing and designed a simple web page using html.
