Description:
Welcome to Basic Geometry! I know this year is unlike any other and I also know you’re
tired of hearing that, but I just want to say that I know we will have a good year in spite of
all that. Basic Geometry will cover basics of Geometry, segments and angles, parallel and
perpendicular lines, triangle relationships, congruent triangles, quadrilaterals, similarity,
polygons and area, surface area and volume, right triangles and trigonometry, and circles.

Students will have an extra day after the due date to turn it in for full credit. After that work
is 50% off. You will be given one day per each excused absence to complete any missing
work. All missing work will be entered as “zeros” in PowerSchool and will affect the fail
list/extracurricular activities. If there are unique circumstances in which you are unable to
complete the assignment given the due date, please communicate this with me ASAP! I
understand that unplanned situations can/will come up and will be accommodating, if
possible. Instructions and assignments related to missing work will be posted on Google
Classroom!

Plagiarism/Cheating Policy
Plagiarism is stealing someone else’s work and using it as one’s own. Plagiarism and
cheating are unacceptable at Unity and will result in an automatic zero in the assignment.
You will sit in your assigned seat everyday to help us track contact should someone
contract COVID-19
