For The Clothes

I offer to your attention the crochet pattern about creating a dwarf (crocheting), the size of
the toy is 35 cm and the circumference of the head is 30 cm.

Skill level - intermediate, you should have the main crocheting skills and ability to read the
schemes.

YOU’LL NEED THE FOLLOWING:

•Yarn Nako Saten (100 g/230 m) or any other yarn (cotton, acrylic...) of the pointed
thickness:
150 g of cream color (5061)
50 g of white (208), red (207), yellow color (184)
• Black beads 5-8 mm in diameter.
• Two circles 6 cm in diameter, cut from a white fabric.
• The hooks 1,75 mm, 3,00 mm.
• Knitting needles 3,00 mm with a line.
• Synthetic stuffing.
• White and beige sewing threads.
• 2 buttons 2 cm in diameter and 2 buttoons 1 cm in diameter for fastening of the head and
legs.
ABBREVIATIONS:
ch - chain.
sc – single crochet.
sl st – slip stitch.
st - stitch.
inc - increase (crochet two stitches in one stitch)
dec - decrease (crochet two stitches together)
(----) х 2 – repeat those in brackets a pointed number of times.
MR – magic ring.
es – elongated stitch.
For the clothes:
K - knit stitch.
P – purl stitch.
dec – knit two stitches together knitwise (for the front loops)
inc – knit a stitch knitwise form a broach of the previous row.

1 – crochet all details in a spiral.

1-cut out two circles 6 cm in diameter from a white fabric.
2-bend the edge for 3mm, sew the details in a circle by the basting stitch, put some stuffing
and tighten strongly.
3-sew the balck beads or glue the halfbeads.

At this stage make a button fastening for the head (with the help of the buttons 2cm in
diameter and a strong synthetic thread folded several times),as it is shown at the photos.
Do not tie the second button to the head very strong (the space between the head and a
button should be 1-2 mm)

HOW TO CROCHET THE ELONGATED STITCHES (es)!!!

1-crochet sc in a stitch of the previous row and draw out a loop 1-1,5 cm long.
2-lay es on the cloth and holding it with a finger grasp a halfloop, which forms behind an es,
with the hook.

3-insert the hook in the same stitch and crochet one more sc.
So we have 2 sc in each stitch (one with an es, the other one is common).
The second sc fixes sc with es.
Crochet the next row of sc, grasping the halfloops behind the es.

Crochet with white yarn, the hook 3,00 mm.

Repeat the 2-nd and 3-rd rnd 3 more times.
Sew the ears between the 16th and 28th rows.
Sew the nose at the level of the 19th row at the equal space from the ears.
Sew the eyes near the nose.
Embroider the brows with a black thread.
Sew the beard like a semicircle very close to the nose.
Sew the hair at the nape like a semicircle.
Sew the beard and hair along the upper and lateral sides (look the photos)

Make a button fastening of the head, as it is shown at the photo.
Gather the sc (for the back loops only) of the last row of the body on a strong synthetic
thread folded several times.
Put the body on a button, which is at the head.
Tighten strongly.

TIGHTENING OF THE BOTTOM:
Make the tightening of the bottom as it is shown at the photos.
Mark two points on the belly, between the 17th and 18th rows, the space between them is one
stitch.
Mark one point on the back between the 26th and 27th rows.
Mark one point in the first row.
Use a synthetic thread of a skin color folded several times.
Insert a thread in one point on the belly.

Take out from the point at the back.
Make a big stitch and insert in the point in the first row.
Take out from the second point on the belly.
Tighten strongly.

Knit with yellow yarn, the knitting needles 3,00 mm.
Cast on 51 st.
Knit in a circle.
1-40 rnd: K (51)
Put the knitting aside for a while.
Knit the second trouser-leg similarly.
