ASSEMBLY
• Sew the front legs to the front of the body.
• Sew the back legs to the back of the body.
• Sew the tail to the back of the body.
• Sew round 3 of the neck to the front of the body.
• Sew the collar to the first round of the neck. When
sewing it, sew around the posts of the stitches
from the neck. (The ‘post’ is the ‘tall part’ of the
stitch, *not* the top loops of the stitch)
• Pin the back spikes to the back of the body. You’ll
end up with 60-something rounds combined
between the body & tail. The back spikes add up
to 49 stitches. You’ll need to go under two
stitches at a time in some spots to sew the back
spikes on evenly (see picture). Sew the back
spikes to the body.
• Sew the ‘head cap’ to the head using a straight
stitch (going around the posts of the stitches).
• Sew the neck to the head using the tail left at the
beginning of the neck.
• Sew the edges of the fins to the fins.
• Sew the top fin to the top of the head cap.
• Sew the side fins to each side of the head cap.
• If using felt: using a photo of vaporeon as a reference (resizing an image on a computer
to the size of your creation), cut out two oval-ish shapes for the eyes. Cut out two
smaller ovals in white & place them towards the top of the eyes. You can use purple felt
& cut the pieces for the bottoms of the eyes, or use paint to create them. Cut out a
small triangle for the nose. Glue or sew the pieces down.
• If needle felting: using a photo of vaporeon as a reference (resizing an image on a
computer to the size of your creation), needle felt two oval-ish shapes for the eyes. Add
a small white dot to the eyes towards the top & purple towards the bottoms. Create a
small triangle for the nose in black.
• Using embroidery floss, embroider the mouth & two lines on each of the paws.

13
• Optional: embroider lines on the collar piece between each of the spikes.

CONGRATULATIONS! YOUR VAPOREON IS FINISHED!
