1 Change to the Past tense

Example: He is a good pupil: he always works seriously.
From the present, the verb and time expressions need to change when
necessary.

He was a good pupil, he always worked seriously

Example: What’s he doing now? He is working.

What was he doing? He was working.

(What did he do? He worked)

Example: He doesn’t work at all this week.

He didn’t work at all last week

(1) What are you going to do now? I am going to work.

(2) This result is good: you worked well today.

(3) He has never worked before he left school.

(4) I always work while you are sleeping.

(5) I’ll pay you more if you work more.

(6) You work more efficiently when you are more attentive.

(7) I would have certainly worked more if I had been encouraged.

(8) I think working for this firm is not very exciting.

(9) What are you doing this afternoon? I have to work.

(10) He doesn’t work, does he?

(11) You needn’t work if you don’t like it.

  

(12) I would rather work than stay at home.

(13) I wonder why my parents always want me to work.

(14) It’s no use working if it doesn’t interest you.

(15) He goes on working until he is too tired to continue.
