Moderator (Rogeliza): Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to a short panel discussion about
“Installing a Wireless Internet Connection at School”. My name is Rogeliza Taclobo, former managing editor
at The Reporter-SNHS Official Student Publication. It is a pleasure to participate in this event.
Our topic for today will revolve around having Wi-Fi connections in school grounds. As
we all know, due to its rapid growth in popularity, wireless networks are suitable for homes, small offices,
warehouses, airport terminals, hospitals, department stores and restaurants. It can be used anytime and
anywhere. It also provides easy access to information for students and teachers.
However, experience shows that the browsing and downloading speed of a wireless
connection can be much slower than a cabled connection. Aside from this is the fact that the farther you are
from the base station, the less signal strength.
Not only this, but students will be more tempted to use their phones during class hours.
First of all let us know how Wi-Fi makes education better.
Joining us today is a set of professionals that will enhance our knowledge about this
topic. Each of them will be given 30 seconds to share their insights.
