Chapter 3

METHODS OF RESEARCH AND PROCEDURES

In this Chapter, the research design, research locale, and the research instrument are
shown. The respondents of the study, sampling techniques or design, validation of research
instrument, administration of research instrument and statistical treatment of data are introduced.

Research Design

A research design is the set of methods and procedures that researchers used to collect,
analyze and to interpret data. The research design used in this study was descriptive-
correlational.

A descriptive research design is used to illustrate the contemporary condition of a

phenomenon or the characteristics of a population. In this study, the variable that is being
observed were the behavioral management and the gaming frequency of the junior high school
students of Gracious Shepherd Advanced School System (GSASS).

A correlation research design, on the other hand, is used to determine if two or more
relevant variables are related. This study is correlational because the researchers aimed to find
the relationship between playing Mobile Legends and juvenile delinquency at GSASS.

Data will be collected through a survey questionnaire
