Meet Segrith Perez

Naval Engineering Student
Her name is Segrith Perez, she lives with her mother, her father, and her sister. She studied in Biffi
high School. And now, she is studying naval engineering in the Tecnologica de Bolivar University.

Segrith must learn mathematics, physics, architecture and English, among other subjects. She has
not taken any English classes before this one. However, she has learned a lot about English by
herself. Segrith is already learning all of these subjects at the same time.

In her free time, she likes to watch movies in English, and she likes to listen music in English too,
which make her learn how to pronounce and speak English. “I study English because I like it, my
goal is to improve my English completely” she says. Besides, on weekends, Segrith also like play
tennis.

“My motivation to study naval engineering is to become a successful businesswoman. Since,

engineering is not just to design boats, you can also be a business person. However, that’s no
mean I don’t like boats” she says. Next year, she is going to be in the half part of her career.
