More students should do their degree at university abroad rather than in their own country.

(a for and against essay)

In the past, most people have done their degree at their own country. It wasn’t so easy to
study abroad because it was really expensive. Today it is more affordable but still not for
everyone, unless you are really good student and you get scholarship. But nowadays more and
more people are interested to study abroad because abroad they can have better education and
better environment.

There are several advantages to study abroad. Firstly you can get higher education level than
in your home country. For example some Slovak universities are really bad, and we can’t
even compare them to some English universities. By studying abroad you’ll have the chance
to see a side of your major that you may not have been exposed to at home. The experience of
something like that is for life experience. Secondly, when you finish your study abroad and
return home you will return with a new perspective on language skills and great education.
For instance in CV it looks really really good that you have achieved some abroad
universities. And thirdly, you will learn more about yourself. Going into a completely new
environment will show you what you are good at and what do you need to train to be better at.
These are things if you would be studying at home maybe you didn’t even notice them.

On the other hand, it could be for some people difficult to leave friends and families. Some
people may be scared to communicate with other people, but they have to get used to.
However, it can be great privilege to become an ‘adult’ and be independent and maybe make
a long last friend and learn a lot of new stuff. Studying abroad is in my opinion the best way
to study language because you hear people talking their mother language so they can spell it
great and you remember everything.

Although most young people want to go studying abroad and that’s really good for them but
sadly not everyone can afford that. All the costs of university house rent and food. Some of
them wants to get better education opportunities than in their home county. When you came
home there is higher chance of getting a better job because you have more experience than
some other students in your home country.
