Topic: What are the advantages and disadvantages studying in another country?

Outline: Advantages: learning new language, making international friend

Disadvantages: feeling homesick, facing financial issues/challenging
My opinion: enhance learning how to meet new culture, freedom
In this globalized world, studying abroad is getting more widespread. Lately most of
the people prefer to go abroad to study because of some reasons. This essay will show how
important studying abroad is. It will first suggest that learning a new language is the primer
advantage and making an international friend is the second advantage, followed by a
discussion of how it can make somebody feel homesick and face financial issues.
The very first advantage of studying abroad is learning a new language easily.
Learning something we do not know generally is a difficult situation, especially learning a
new language, but when students go to study in a different country, they must learn the
language which is spoken in that country, so they can learn this language easily. Erasmus is a
prime example, since thanks to it, so many students are able to go study abroad. Besides,
making international friends can be listed as the second pros. In today’s world, unfortunately,
if you do not have a friend who has eminence, your chance to find a job is so low. For
example, if you have a Japanese friend, he or she can offer a job with a high salary, because
of the exchange difference.
The primary drawback is that students who are studying in another country can
possibly feel homesick. Even when you go to another city in your own country, you can feel
homesick, that is why many students do not choose to go to another country to study. For
example, when anybody goes to a foreign country to study, he or she cannot come back
before the breaks, that is why they usually feel homesick. Another con is facing financial
challenging. Due to the exchange differences, when their currency is lower than the country’s
they study, they face some financial difficulties, and because of these difficulties, they might
have to come back to their country. For example, if a Turkish student goes to Germany to
study, because of the differences between the Turkish lira and Euro, he or she faces a huge
financial issue.
Overall, in my opinion, it is a very positive aspect because most students can take
advantage of the power of learning how to react to a new culture or can feel freedom. Because
even if you face financial issues, you can work while studying. For instance, according to
some searches holding by Cambridge University, the students who studied abroad can find a
job easier than those who did not.
In conclusion, studying abroad has provided a gateway to learning something new and
although sometimes it is very difficult in some way, it is a very positive aspect for somebody
who wants to work around the world. However, even if you have struggles to study in a
different country, you can do anything when you want to do, that is all depending on how
much you want to do.
