1. Definition of Drugs
- A medicine or other substance which has a physiological
effect when ingested or otherwise introduced into the body.
2. Definition of Medicine
- A compound or preparation used for the treatment or
prevention of disease, especially a drug or drugs taken by
mouth.
3. Definition of Dangerous
- Is involving possible injury, pain, harm, or loss.
- Likely to cause problems or to have adverse consequences.
4. Difference of Drugs and Medicine
- Drugs are considered to be such things as stimulants,
narcotics, and hallucinogens, and often are use in the medical
field to treat cure disease while medicine is a term for a drug
is used to cure, mitigate, treat or prevent a disease.
5. Law in the Philippines regarding dangerous drugs
- Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, or Republic Act
No. 9165
- The Dangerous Drugs Act of 1972, or Republic Act No. 6425
6. What is R.A. 9165?
- An Act instituting the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of
2002, repealing R.A. No. 6425, otherwise known as The
Dangerous Drugs of 1972, as amended, providing funds
therefor, and for other purposes.
7. What is R.A. 6425?
- Otherwise known as the Dangerous Drugs Act of 1972, as
amended, and providing funds for its implementation.
8. Difference of R.A. 9165 and R.A. 6425
- Republic Act No. 6425, otherwise known as the Dangerous
Drugs Act of 1972, as amended, and providing funds for its
implementation. Under this Act, the Dangerous Drugs Board
(DDB) remains as the policy-making and strategy-formulating
body in planning and formulation of policies and program on
drug prevention and control while the Republic Act No. 9165
otherwise known as the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is an
Act of introducing any dangerous drug into the body of any
person, with or without his/her knowledge, by injection,
inhalation, ingestion or other means, or of committing any act
of indispensable assistance to a person in administering a
dangerous drug to himself/herself unless administered by a
duly licensed practitioner for purposes of medication.
9. Classification of Dangerous Drugs
