Location: Boundary between Alfonso Lista, Ifugao and Ramon, Isabela,
Philippines
Status: Operational
Constructed: 1978
Commissioned: 1983
GEO Assigned Identification Number: 41701
Description:
The Magat Dam is installed in the Magat River, the largest tributary of the
Cagayan River. It has a height of 114m and a length of 4,160m. [1] It is a dam
with 4 generating units and a huge reservoir with a storage of 745 million cubic
meters of water. It has an installed capacity of 380 MW with an average
production of 985 GWh of electricity that is equivalent to two months of
production. It had two primary purposes, as the source of irrigation and provides
electricity from its hydroelectric power. It is designed as a peaking plant that
generates during peak hours and can be on-line and deliver power in less than
two minutes. It is owned by Aboitiz Equity Venture (Bought from National Power
Corporation in 2007-01-00) and Norwegian SN Power Invest (SN Power). [2]

Location: Maramag, Bukidnon, Mindanao, Philippines
Status: Operational
Constructed: 1982
Commissioned: 1985
GEO Assigned Identification Number: 41700
Description:
The Pulangi 4 Hydroelectric Power Plant Philippines is a Hydro Power plant with
a design capacity of 255MWe. [5] It has three generating units that compatible
with a run-off river type of power plant. It generates 3,569.60 GWh of energy as
of 2012. [3] The dam has two parts of the reservoir, upper and lower reservoir.
The upper reservoir diverts water into a powerful channel that parallels the river
until it reaches the lower reservoir. The lower reservoir, water is fed to each of
the three 85 MW (114,000 hp) Francis turbine-generators. The power plant
provides 23% of the hydroelectric power generated on Mindanao.[4] The
powerplant is operated by Bukidnon Electric Cooperative (FIBECO) for National
Power Corporation.[3]
