Problem Solution

While working on Siemens S7 1200 1214 DC/DC/DC,

we were not able to communicate with the PLC for
almost 3 days. After trying almost everything for almost 3 days, we at last found th
V11 of TIA. We used updated version of softwa
We were able to ping the PLC, TIA Portal 11 we were
using and we were able to even detect the PLC, but TIA V11 supports only 1 module of 1200-1214 PLC,
we were not able to go ONLINE.

While commissioning many IDS RTUs, we found that

the RTU either takes a lot of time for program If the RTU doesn’t have any FT, remove the Profibus card from the
downloading or it trips after every few minutes 24V not directly through fuse terminals, bu
without any reason

Sometimes, when the last valve in the loop is OFF,

Check the termination of all valves. The termination of only the fi
other valves communication start fluctuating and
termination in between sho
despite getting command, they don't operate

Sometimes there's Acquisition fault in the device,

specially in PTs. In this fault, the reading of the device Channel of the AI card has got burnt due to sudden input of current

Solution

3 days, we at last found that the module we had used was not supported by
