The Rizal monument in Davao is located in back part of City Hall and it is

one of the landmarks of Davao City where they celebrated the major events of

Kadayawan Festival and Araw ng Davao. As I visited the Rizal monument, I saw

the people feeding the pigeons and I notice that in front of Rizal monument was

the big stage where events was celebrated and on the roof of the stage where it

design with an eagle. I’ve been observing the monument there was an plaque

that has a content of a recognition and how the monument build as the project of

the City Government of Davao. Observing the surroundings there are a lot of

people enjoying the park because it is spacious and it surrounded by trees and

flowers. There were street sweepers and gardener who maintains the cleanliness

of the park and preserving its beauty.

I will have an organization that named Rizal la educación, la educación

means education. This organization have mission is to educate the street

children and help them to develop their skills in different field of excellency.

Education is the only treasure that we can keep forever and can’t steal of

anyone. Dr. Jose Rizal stated that “ang kabataan ay pag – asa ng bayan.” As

Filipino, I should start helping my “kababayan” to be more educated and to be not

ignorant. Dr. Jose Rizal did many good deeds and tried to accomplish his goals.

Accomplishing goals is not easy but partnering it with hardworking and being an

optimistic nothing is impossible. It also helps to inspire other people to do good

deeds and to pass it to the other generations. And, we must always remember

where we came from and it help us to motivate ourselves to serve our country.
