WORK EXPERIENCE
Responsibilities
Analyze the reasons for equipment failure and lead Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Root
Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts.
Participate in reliability related incident investigations; prioritize action items, and follow-up on their
implementation.
Support TPM efforts to increase machine utilization, as defined by facility targets. Interact daily with
maintenance technicians and act as a SME for complex mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical problems.
Troubleshoot control systems both in the field and remotely through operator interfaces and databases
(WMS, WCS, TS).
Monitor equipment and special preventative maintenance standards to ensure quality product.
Collaborate with Six Sigma and LEAN project leaders to provide resourceful and creative solutions in the
execution of continuous improvement projects.
Provide project management, contractor quotations, and engineering assistance to Six Sigma and LEAN
continuous improvement initiatives involving facilities and production equipment changes.
Conduct design reviews with safety and ergonomics focus on plant systems and production equipment
changes.
Contribute to plant productivity improvement goals by leading Six Sigma, and continuous improvement
projects.
Support capital projects by supplying engineering expertise in the specification, design, and
construction of capital projects in accordance with plant design requirements as well as regulatory
standards.
Develop equipment repair procedures and specifications necessary to improve plant and equipment
reliability.
Responsibilities
Data Analysis- utilizing Parcview for data acquisition and trending to monitor equipment failures.
Optimizing maintenance scope through use of data such as Web breaks and Web break locations to
determine
DCS System Support – System maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades as need. Responsibilities
include
program changes, graphics modifications, and hardware upgrades of the Valmet DCS system. Spare
parts
inventory management.
Maintenance Support – Work with Electrical Maintenance dept. on any and all issues that require
additional
Capital Project Support – Perform electrical & controls portion of Capital Projects. These duties may
include,
but not limited to, contractor management, planning and timeline assessments, cost evaluations,
return-oninvestment
PLC System Support - System maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades as needed. Responsibilities
include program and logic changes, hardware and software upgrades, system backups, etc. Spare parts
inventory management.
Allen Bradley Control Logix, Micro Logix, and PLC5 program amd troubleshooting experience
Drive System Support – Variable Speed Drive maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades. Logic
changes,
hardware maintenance, and on-going drive systems upgrades. Spare parts inventory management. GE
and
Allen-Bradley experience.
Instrumentation & Control Valve Support – Maintain, troubleshoot, calibration, installation and repair
instrumentation and control valves. Thorough knowledge of pressure, flow, and temperature
transmitter theory
General Electrical & Automation Support – Provide maintenance and engineering support in all general
aspects
of electrical and automation field. Assist with any designated projects for a sound and thorough
resolution that
will improve process efficiency, minimize downtime, and/or result in monetary savings.
Budgetary responsibility for areas of primary support and assigned capital projects.
Design and install retrofits to existing systems and troubleshoot hardware, software, and instrument
problems.
Create and implement new strategies to improve process efficiency and support startup activities.
