Data Center Facility Engineer
We are looking for a Data Center Engineer to support a critical data center. The Critical
Facility Engineer will be responsible for monitoring compliance with contractual
commitments, directing technical and administrative tasks related to the operation of the
critical facility infrastructure and assuring compliance with company’s policies and
procedures. The Data Center is a 7x24x365 a year operation. Our client has openings
for first, second and 3rd shifts. We have positions that are both electrical and for
mechanical facilities positions.

Responsibilities:
Maintain liaison with primary client, A/E firm, Owner's Rep firm, Construction
Project Manager, subcontractors and any other vendors needed to facilitate
construction activities at the data center job site.
Establishes and manages the critical work environment project objectives,
performance standards, planning and Methods of Procedure and be within
boundaries of corporate policies to ensure minimization of human error factors
which could cause down time during work processes
Provides leadership of all field related MEP mission critical work activities and
coordinates with Construction Project Manager and Subcontractors for proper
execution.
Keeps all relative parties informed of project’s progress throughout the life of the
project.
Detailed understanding of all MEP systems to include size up, costs, scheduling
timeline, quality control focus points, system start-up, commissioning,
troubleshooting, etc.
Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment,
income/expenses) to protect the company’s interest and simultaneously maintain
good relationship with the client.
Ensures that project site and company assets are secure and maintains a safe
and respectful working environment at all times by implementing programs for
safety / OSHA, Equal Employment Opportunity / EEO, risk management,
training, and quality control.
Confirms that extra charges from subcontractors/suppliers are reasonable and
work is correctly executed. Coordinates with project manager for approval on
extra charges.
Facilitates weekly project progress and safety meetings with all subcontractor
representatives and coordinates the upcoming week’s work to be accomplished.
Attends all progress meetings with the owner’s rep / data center construction
Project manager
Ensures that the project closeout process is finalized, demobilize all resources,
and transition the project to the client.

Operate and Manage both routine and emergency service on a variety of state of
the art critical systems such as: medium voltage switchgear, diesel generators,
UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer
room air handlers, fire detection / suppression; building monitoring systems; etc
Supervise the on-site management of sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that
all work is performed according to established practices and procedures.
Manage local client relationship and act as the point of contact for the company
at this site.
Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses and prepare reports on all
aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance.
Work with IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects,
manage capacity and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability and
efficiency.
Create, utilize and administer MOPs and SOPs for all work on critical facilities /
data center facility equipment.
Schedule work activities, within specified change control / management protocol.
Maintain a constant state of readiness in support of the mission goal of 99.999%
uptime

Data Center Power Solutions Engineer

This firm provides modular data center solutions through custom-fit projects to meet the
requirements of their client's mission-critical operational facilities. They provide reliable
mission-critical facilities for many of the world's largest organizations.
Responsibilities:
Manage projects, create designs and plans, provided and gather specifications,
and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary electrical engineering design role
for small to medium sized data center facility design projects.
Assist in Customer Pursuits and Promotion of Data Center Solutions in Power
Generation field.
Create Conceptual Designs gathered from meetings with the client for Field
Engineer focus
Work with Management to respond to RFPs.
Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards
within boundaries of company policies. Put these in clear concise work statement
for the field.
Represent the company in project meetings as needed.

Qualifications:
10+ years of data center / critical facility operations and maintenance experience
Solid Understanding of Critical Electrical and Mechanical / HVAC equipment
( UPS, Generators, Switchgears, PDU's, CRAC Units, Chillers, etc. )
Active or Interim Secret Clearance a MUST
Experience supervising a technical staff
Certifications / training in either Electrical or Mechanical Trades
Previous experience interfacing and supporting Customers
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Previous experience in the Military / Military veterans in all branches that have
experience with Electrical / Mechanical is a huge plus (Navy nukes- EMN, ETN,
MMNs, SeaBees, Army - Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production,
Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, etc)

sites.
BATTERY TECHNICIAN - Reston, VA
A fully competent Battery Technician - Applies an intensive and diversified knowledge of
complete start-up, testing and operations. Responsible for commissioning, maintaining
and providing emergency support on power electronics at customers’ sites within their
respective regional coverage area. Performs commissioning focused design reviews,
prepares commissioning test procedures and reports, coordinates and oversees on-site
testing. When not in field involved in preventive maintenance, emergency response,
equipment start-up and/or field modification, candidate will occasionally train at the
company’s headquarters testing equipment or rebuilding older systems. Discuss with
technical support problems related to maintenance or operation of equipment.
Candidate will participate in the development if Methods of Procedures (MOPs)
Consults with supervisor concerning unusual problems and developments. Candidate
will be home based.
