Dear Dr. Ayman,

Further to my previous e-mail.

I am now contacting you as the Module Coordinator of MTCC4016 Structural Analysis 1, for which I am
also considering changes to the Module Descriptor (MD).

Please find attached a marked-up copy of the changes that I wish to implement to the MD. The summary of
changes are as follows:

 Notes/Abstract: UK-SPEC outcomes are updated.

1
• Learning Outcomes: LO’s 1, 2 and 3 were rephrased to better correspond to the learning
and teaching strategy.

• Assessment Strategy:
o LO4 was removed from the final exam artefact (A3) as it is redundant, given that it is already
repeated for both A1 and A2. Furthermore, this allows proper coverage for a 90 minute exam.
o A1 portfolio submission will now comprise of only practical questions without report, as the report
aspect is thoroughly covered in A2. his is done to better reflect the work load required for a 20 %
portfolio based coursework.
• Indicative Reading: Reading list is updated.

I would highly appreciate if you could kindly acknowledge that you are satisfied with the above changes, or
provide me with some further suggestions.

Thank you for your beneficial input, it is much appreciated.

Stay safe.

Kind Regards,
