Answer the following questions:
1. A 360 W carrier is simultaneously modulated by two audio waves with
modulation percentages of 55 and 65 respectively. What is the total sideband
power radiated?
2. A four stage amplifier has stages with the following specifications:

Calculate the power gain in decibels, noise figure in decibels and the
equivalent noise temperature of the whole amplifier.
3. An AM signal has the equation:
𝑣(𝑡) = (15 + sin 44 × 103 𝑡 ) sin 46.5 × 106 𝑡 𝑣𝑜𝑙𝑡𝑠
a) Find the carrier frequency.
b) Find the frequency of the modulating carrier.
c) Find the value of m.
d) Find the peak voltage of unmodulated carrier.
4. Prove that, the noise voltage for an amplifier is 𝑉𝑛 = √4𝑘𝑇𝐵𝑅.
5. What is side tone? Propose a circuit to reduce side tone.
