Mixed Past Tenses

Mr. Bean at the Hospital

Instructions:

On YouTube, by searching for “English Through Videos: Mixed Past
Tenses – Mr. Bean at the Hospital”.
 Watch the video.
 Combine the two sentences into one sentence.
 Use a linking word such as when, while, because, so, and, etc. to link the sentences.
 Do not change the order of the clauses.
 Change the verb forms used if necessary (e.g. “He went…” to “He was going…” or “He had
gone”).

They couldn’t open the ambulance doors. Mr. Bean parked behind it.
