Some people think that it would be better for large companies and industry to move to regional areas

outside large urban centers

It is often argued that it will be better for huge companies from various industries to be re-allocated to
suburban areas from metropolitan centers. In my opinion, the benefits of having well-known industries
to small towns exceeds its drawbacks.

Economic growth is inter-related with industrialization. In order for a small community to have a stable
economy, public officials are welcoming investments from well-known industries, however, this might
contribute to certain issues mainly environmental concerns. Some big Factories, for example, would care
less on their waste disposal resulting to oil leaks to oceans and garbage pile in the nearby areas. This
scenario results to public health threat and rising land pollution, although, if the local officials will be
imposed strict rules and regulations to waste management, environmental pollution and health risk will
be avoided.

On the other hand, large companies being built in rural areas offer real employment opportunities to the
local community, apart from having a secured economic profit. Moreover, workers can be exposed to
advanced technology and highly expensive equipment brought by these large companies that aids in
improving their physical skills and mental ability. Apart from financial security and skill competencies,
large industries are said to transform small regions to highly empowered community through the
introduction of various innovations.

To conclude, even though large companies may pose an environmental risk to the locality, firm
implementation of rules is possible. in my point of view, an innovative approach accompanied by this
new industry will lead to secure economic profit of the local government and work opportunities to the
public, on top of that, enhancing their skills and abilities to cope with urbanization.
