Hello team, wind powered energy is an ever-growing industry with lots of areas to expand. With
the rise of climate change and the effects it has had on our environment, it is important to
spread awareness and make changes to our means of energy use and production. This memo
will discuss the topic of wind energy. More specifically, it will reach topics on why we need to
expand our dependence on wind energy, and its many benefits it has to the environment as well
as the economy. As a company, it is important to ensure success in the future and ensure
safety for the planet, as we have the responsibility of doing so.

Summary
Climate change is a very serious issue in today’s world, and the issue gets worse with each
passing day. Climate change brings irreversible consequences to the environment, economy,
and even the food chain. If there is no fix, or way to slow the damage that is being done, then
there will be no future. Wind powered energy is a clean way to produce energy, in a way that
does not cause climate change. This method of energy production can help prolong our future
and make the world cleaner for everyone to enjoy.

Climate Change is Dangerous

There are a multitude of reasons why climate change is harmful for our future. If it is not slowed
down or combatted, many energy producing companies, such as our corporation, will be held
accountable for their awareness and lack of accountability of the issue. Climate change will
bring a multitude of changes in our everyday lives, and we have seen the impacts of it already in
certain areas. Many populated cities are experiencing toxic air and acid rain, which has
negatively impacted the wellbeing of many. In areas such as California, severe droughts have
caused water scarcity, and the heat has caused several wildfires which have devastated
communities and done expensive damage. As an energy company, it is vital that consumers
know the dangers of climate change and its consequences on our earth if left untreated. We
have the responsibility to adapt and create new technologies that will bring profit and efficiency.

The Solution to Battle Climate Change

I will discuss two solutions that will slow the impacts of climate change. These solutions are
effective and will benefit our company and community. The first solution is simpler; invest in
more wind powered energy. Implementing more windmills on inhabited areas will increase the
energy production output, as well as create new jobs for the economy. Additionally, investing in
new windmills will bring new developments for the surrounding areas, which will benefit the local
community. The use of wind power will bring clean energy to places around the country and will
reduce the amount of output for other energy producers. An example of this would be coal and
nuclear energy. Those two methods of energy production are harmful to the environment. With
increased wind power energy, those negative energy producing methods will be phased out
quicker.

The second solution is more complex. In order to make wind energy more readily available for
places around the world, it would be beneficial to invest in new wind energy technologies. As of
today, the most common wind energy producer is the windmill. These wind turbines stand tall,
and are used in large, open areas. While technologically advanced, these turbines cannot stand
in crowded cities, or rocky areas. One way to combat this problem is to develop ground level
turbines that are placed in high wind trafficked areas. One example could be at airports.
Airports, and specifically runways, are considered a high-wind area. This is due to jet engines
that take off and land daily. If energy companies were to develop ground level wind turbines at
the sides of the runways, there would be lots of energy produced. Another example would be on
the edges of freeways, or the sides of a train track. These areas generate wind from moving by,
and that wind can be used to generate clean energy.

Recommendations
The first recommendation I have is to spread awareness about the negative effects of climate
change. This can be done through advertisements, public service announcements, or as a
company, switching to only clean energy production. Educating people on the heaviness of this
issue is the way to spread the message on clean energy. The second recommendation I have is
through connecting with people in high positions of power. These people have influence on our
future and the way we live our lives. Examples of this include lawmakers, politicians, and CEOs.
By doing these recommendations, officials can connect with other officials and give their
approvals and money grants. These things are ways climate change can be slowed down for a
better future and bring success to our company.

Conclusion
If we want to slow the effects of climate change and prolong the future of our earth, we need to
act immediately. Investing and utilizing renewable energy such as wind will help save the earth.
Our society will not survive if the future is inhabitable and dangerous. As an energy producing
company, it is vital that you put the work and effort into making things happen. In order to act,
money will need to be granted and officials need to give approvals.
