MESSAGE

It is with distinct pride and honor that I extend my warmest greetings and
congratulations to all public servants, particularly to the Civil Service Commission,
on the occasion of the celebration of 120th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil
Service this coming September.

This year’s theme: “Philippine Civil Service @ 120: Public Sector in the
Age of Digital Transformation” has found meaning in the midst of incessant
disruption of pandemic in our country. Certainly, digitalization has been found
useful as expedient to elude contamination.

Admittedly, digitizing public service interactions is a complex challenge that

requires coordination between different levels of government. However, with our
positive mindset, digitalization will transform the public sector into one of a force
to reckon with.

Let this occasion be a jolt in communicating the case for change and start
ensuring sustainable delivery of results for our stakeholders.
