Research Problem: Perception of CAS Students in the University of the Cordilleras in the Growing
Numbers of Political Trolling in the Philippines
Objectives:
1. To identify the role of political trolling within the democratic media of the Philippines
2. To recognize how the UC CAS students understand the phenomena
3. To shed light on digital political trolling that is apparent here in the Philippines so that we can
counteract disinformation
Research Questions:
1. How significant is political trolling in swaying public opinion and in reshaping the democratic
media of the Philippines?
2. How much do CAS students comprehend the concept of political trolling in judging the
impact of rapid ideological change in online communities?
3. How will online public discourses be shaped with political trolling and what are the possible
efforts needed to be done in order to alleviate the spread of misinformation?

Research Problem: The Effects of Populism to the voting behavior of the Residents (Ages 18-60) of
Barangay Barangobong from the Municipality of Villasis, Pangasinan
Objectives:
1. To analyze if there is a connection between populism and voting behavior.
2. To study whether the Residents of Villasis, Pangasinan is affected by populism
 3. To know and analyze the voting behavior of the Residents of Villasis, Pangasinan.

Research Problem: A Study on Dutertismo: Its impact on the Philippine Democracy and Populist
Governance in the Perspective of the Filipino Youth in Barangay Dominican Mirador
Objectives:
1. To gather perspectives about the current President’s brand of populism and how it has
affected the discourse of democracy in corelation to the youth of Dominican Mirador
2. To shed light on the reality that is Dutertismo in maintaining a steady grip on power within
the government
3. To determine what is the extent of Dutertismo in effect to the Political perspective of a
citizen.

9. Safe Spaces Act

Research Problem: Correlation of the Level of awareness of the UC-Political Science Students and
the Level of Implementation of the Safe Spaces Act by the Local Government Unit of their Home
Municipalities.
Objectives:
1. To determine if the strategies of the Local Government Unit of their Home Municipalities are
effective as to the pursuant of the implementation of the Safe Spaces Act.
2. To determine the extent of the awareness of the UC- Political Science students regarding the
said Act.
3. To determine the relations between the level of awareness of the UC- Political Science
students and the strategies employed by the Local Government Unit of their Home
Municipalities.

Safe Spaces Act by your Local Government Unit?

Research Problem: The Correlation of the Broad Provisions of the Anti-Terror Law and the Level of
Approval of the UC Political Science students.
Objectives:
1. To know the effect of the broad provisions to the perception of the UC Political Science
students regarding the said Law.
2. To know the significance of formulation of provisions as to the reaction of citizens, like the
UC Political Science students.
3. To know the relationship of the broad provisions of the Anti-Terror Law and the level of
approval of the UC Political Science students.

1. What are the effects of the broad provisions to the perception of the students regarding the
law?
2. How significant is the process of formulating provisions when it is to be implemented
