When did you start working at your current (actual) job?

When I was a student at university, I went to live with my friend. She lives near the university. We
had a party and she told me she had an apartment near the university and she invited me to live
with her. So, I decided to live with her and she charged me rent. I had a business, but that year it
rained a lot and my business went bust/bankrupt. So, I didn’t have money to pay my rent. So, I called
my sister and I asked her to employ me in her company. And I’ve been working with her for 8 or 10
years.

What do you do in your job?

I’m a “comodín”. I charge the clients and supervise the employees. For example, I make sure the
people in the production area are working at the optimum speed (velocidad). I have to calculate the
amount of diesel and gasoline that the trucks transporting our merchandise need.

What’s the most difficult thing about your job?

My job is very repetitive. I have to write a report for my boss on the performance of different areas
of the company. This is difficult because you have to deal with (lidiar con) people and their different
interests.

What do you enjoy about your job?

The payment! And I find it interesting to see how the company works and how it is administrated.
One of the subjects I study at university is mercantile law. So, this is interesting for me.

¿Cómo eres? = What are you like?

¿Cómo estás? = How are you?

It’s very difficult because I have different “bosses”. Everybody feels like they’re my boss. This creates
conflict sometimes.
