1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 Scope of Work

• The method statement is for the preparation for reinforcement and preparation of

formwork for "Construction of Lekela Substation 220 KV" with reference to following

drawings.

2. CREW & EQUIPMENTS

2.1 Personnel
• See Attached organization chart. (Appendix A).
2.2 Equipments
• Bench mounted circular saw.
• Rebar bending machine.
• Rebar cutting machine.
• Hand Tools.

2.3 Safety Regulations

2.3.1 Personal Protective Equipments (PPE)
• PPE to be worn mandatory (Safety glasses, gloves 06, safety footwear, helmet and HI visibility vest).
• Long sleeves are mandatory.
• For bench mounted circular saw double ear protection and face shield to be worn.
2.3.2 House Keeping

• Clearing woods from nails and sharp edges.

• Cover steel sharp edges and remove surplus.
2.3.3 Equipment Control

• All equipment to be in good condition and inspected daily with checklist by operator.
• Equipment to be thoroughly inspected by a competent person every time lap (3 months).
• Every Equipment has its portable DCP Fire Extinguisher.
2.3.4 Fire Control

• Portable ABC Fire Extinguisher equipment with required number will be available.
• Equipment to be regularly maintained and inspected.

3. DEFINITION O F PROCESS

3.1 General
• Bench mounted circular saw, rebar bending and cutting machines will be used for cutting
woods and steel rebar will be shaped to be used in different milestone of the project such
as (foundations, columns, beams …...).
3.2 Materials
• All materials will be selected as per the contract.
• The contractor will submit all roofing finishing system to the Siemens Energy for approval.
• Steel rebar will be stored horizontally in a dry place protected from sun and weather using
polyethylene sheets.
3.3 Preparation of steel rebar
• Cutting of steel bars to desired length using steel cutting machine.
• by mechanical bending machine steel bars shall be formed to desired shapes as per design
requirement.
• Final product to be transported to work place or to be stored in proper condition.
3.4 preparation of formwork wood
• Wood pieces should be measured and labelled for desired lengths.
• Wood pieces to be fabricated to desired lengths.
• Final product to transported to work place or to be stored in proper condition.
