on 12 and 13 December, 2018, in New Delhi, India.
HIGHLIGHTS
Keynote addresses: Narendra Modi,
Prime Minister of India; Michelle Bachelet,
former President of Chile and chair of PMNCH;
Invited participation of heads of state, ministers,
popular champions, and partners from up to
100 countries;
Launch of a special “Partners’ Forum” issue of
The BMJ, with 12 “Success Factor” case studies,
highlighting best practices and innovations taken
to scale for improving women’s, children’s and
adolescents’ health;
Online interactive programming and dialogue
through a multi-channel virtual broadcast paired
with interactive discussion formats;
Pre-Forum on-site and virtual side-events
on 10-11 December;
Film, music, animation and other creative arts
to express the voice of women and girls, and what
they want for their own reproductive and
maternal health.

PARTICIPATION
As with past PMNCH Partners’ Forums (Johannesburg 2014; Delhi 2010; Dar es Salaam 2007), participation
in Delhi will be by invitation, prioritizing PMNCH’s 1,000+ partner organizations across 10 constituency groups.

All partners are invited to take part virtually through a comprehensive digital platform for the Partners’ Forum.

Formal Partners’ Forum agenda (plenary and
concurrent sessions): The Partners’ Forum
Programme Sub-Committee remains open
to new partners to join; this is an important way
of influencing the plenary agendas/speakers
(six sessions), as well as the concurrent session
development (20 sessions). Co-chairs are Lisa Hilmi,
CEO of the CORE Group, and Pascale Allotey,
Director of the Global Health Institute of
UN University in Malaysia.

Virtual Partners’ Forum programming: There will
be a Virtual Partners’ Forum kicking off in the two
months before December, with partners invited
to develop and lead webinars and other online
interactive platforms (Twitter chats, webinars, etc.)
in association with the Partners’ Forum. Topics
must relate to key objectives and content areas of
the Partners’ Forum (i.e., the six themes of the
EWEC framework + cross-cutting topics on
financing, leaderships, accountability, and
cross-sectoral implementation). The Programme
Sub-Committee is in the midst of agreeing on the
overall programming approach – to be announced
by early July.
Official side-events: PMNCH will offer six slots
on application for official pre-Forum side-events
(two full days and four half). Side event
applications will be opened when the conference
website launches in July.
Unofficial side-events, organized independently
by partners. PMNCH can publicize invitations
to these events through our community bulletin
board for the Forum (attached to the Forum
website, and summarized in our monthly
Partners’ Forum e-blast).
