Session 2

Section Simple present

TIME/PERIOD 50 minutes

Objectives By the end of this class, students will be able to express daily routines in present.

Activities & Strategies Pre-activities (15 minutes)


1. Teacher will identify and mention how many activities they do daily
2. Students get in pair in order to share daily experiences and learn from each other
3. Teacher help students with examples and provide tools
Activity ( 20 minutes)
1. In pairs, students will find common activities and things they do daily
3. In pairs, students will discuss in class what they learned
4. Students will write on board their daily routines with examples and role play

Post-activities( 15 minutes)
6. Individually, Teacher will ask student to express the section matters with his own words and examples, teacher will use One question quiz
And assess based on the written responses.

Session 2

Section Adverbs of frequency

Minutes 50 minutes

Objectives By the end of this lesson students will be able to use adverb of frequency and express how often they do activities

Activities Pre-activity( 15 minutes)


and 1. Teacher will review previous topic in order to identify gabs.
Strategies 2. Teacher introduces new topic and explains how to use it.
3. Students ask questions and teacher answers.

Activity (20 minutes)


5. Students will have interaction to each other using the adverbs of frequency.

Post-activity( 15 minutes)
6. Teacher give a practice to be develop in class about the current topic and find strength and weaknesses by asking the students to reflect on
the lesson and write down what they have learned. Then, ask them to consider how they would apply this concept or skill in a practical setting.

Session 2

Section Present continuous or progressive

Minutes 50 minutes

Objectives Students will be able to Produce present progressive sentences in the affirmative, Perform and describe actions using the present progressive affirmative, in a
kinesthetic activity and Describe and label images with sentences in the present progressive.

Activities Pre-activities(20 minutes)


& 1. Teacher will start talking in present progressive in order to get the class familiarize
Strategies 2. Teacher will introduce the topic and explain the rules and also provide examples
3. Teacher creates groups in pairs.
Activities(15 minutes)
6. 6. Each group will have some pictures given by the teacher and they will describe the picture using the present progressive.
7. Students will write 5 sentences using present progressive and 5 questions using the same.
Post- activities( 15 minutes)
10. Teacher will have students interview each other using ten questions and will assess after by asking open ended questions that get them writing and
talking.

Session 2

Section Review

TIME/PERIOD 50 minutes

Objectives By the end of this class, students will be able identify the differences between simple present, present progressive and how and when to use adverbs of
frequency and practice vocabulary, writing and listening skills.

Activities & Strategies


Pre-activities (10 minutes)
1. Teacher will ask students what they remember of previous sections
2. Students will ask question of what they do not understand and teacher clarifies.
Activity( 25 minutes)
1. Teacher writes on the board different sentences using previous sections combined.
3. Students will identify the correct and incorrect tenses on each sentence.
4. Teacher will play a game using tenses and let students interact to each other.
Post-activities( 15 minutes)
6. Teacher will let students have a role play each other in order to assess by creating Quizzes and Students take a few minutes to think about
the question or prompt students can compare thoughts before sharing with the whole class.

Section Test – Formative


Minutes 50 minutes

Objectives To demonstrate how to apply previous topics in the correct tenses


Activities & Students complete the test.
Strategies
Student will have the opportunity to write an essay in the test for 5 extra points.
Resources Student’s book or previous printed research as support material.

At the end of the plan, explain the teaching philosophy, teaching method and teaching-learning techniques used, and why you choose to
work using that Approach.
We used Progressivism as a teaching philosophy because I’m providing the students with materials and resources in order to perform the
activities by their own and let them discuss what they learned and how to put in practice also I applied Behaviorism because and rewarding the
students that complete the essay in the test also I assessed student and provided feedback when students are not understanding the class.
Student-Centered Approach to Learning was the teaching method used because I provided coaching and facilitate learning student learning
and overall comprehension of material to measure student learning through both formal and informal forms of assessment like class
participation.

Gamification was used as teaching learning techniques since we play game activities in the class, Cooperative learning as well, students
worked in pairs and had interaction each other in order to share ideas and build confidence and last but not list technology since the beginning
in order to provide better point of view, better examples and more details.
