SUBJECT : DEMAND LETTER

Dear Mr. Icamina:

Pursuant to the abolition of the Technology Resource Center (TRC), the Department of
Science and Technology (DOST), as the supervising agency, was tasked to implement the
winding up of the operations, disposition of the assets, and settlement of the former’s
liabilities.

In this regard, you are hereby demanded to pay, in full, within ten (10) days from receipt
hereof, the unpaid obligations of Improved Tilapia Strains. Per our records, your
outstanding total obligations to DOST sums up to PESOS: TWO MILLION TWO HUNDRED
THIRTY SIX THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY NINE & 62/100 centavos
(2,236,539.62) including unpaid interests, penalties and E-VAT as of May 31, 2020.
Attached is a copy of your Statement of Account.

Please be informed that your account has been past due for several years and the account
remained unpaid. In this regard, DEMAND is now being made upon you to fully pay to DOST
your unpaid obligation in the above mentioned amount plus all interests and penalties, the
total amount of which shall be determined at the date of the actual payment. We would
appreciate if you can contact us the soonest possible time to settle your account or make
payment arrangements with DOST for full settlement of the long outstanding account of
Improved Tilapia Strains.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that if you fail to settle your obligations after the above-
mentioned deadline, DOST-TRC will institute the appropriate legal actions against you
and/or foreclosure of your property without further demand and claims for damages, among
others, to ensure the interests of the Philippine Government.

We trust that you will give this matter your preferential attentions to avert any legal action
that DOST will undertake.
