15 ERROR MESSAGES

The SUPERIX RL180N is equipped with self-diagnostic software that continuously monitors the
conditions of the electronics circuits.
In case a fault condition is detected, a special error message appears on the remote Console display and
the circuit that has generated the error is set out of order.
The error message appears in the lower row of the display and has the following format:

T.ERR XXYYZZ

In addition, at unit start up, the control desk CPU executes an initialisation of all the slaves CPU of the
system.
In case a fault condition is detected, a special error message appears on the remote Console display and
the slave that has generated the error is set out of order.
The error message appears in the lower row of the display and has the following format:

ERROR: NO ANSWER FROM SLAVE(S) X

Where X can be one or more of the following letters:

S → In case of SPOT FILM DEVICE CPU START UP ERROR;


T → In case of 3 PHASE CPU START UP ERROR;
I → In case of INTERFACE CIRCUITS START UP ERROR;
C → In case of = COLLIMATOR START UP ERROR;

The operator, pressing any button of the remote Console keyboard can force the unit to operate with
the faulty slave CPU circuits disable. This option must me used only in case of real need and under the
responsibility of the operator.

Another type of error is displayed in case, during normal operation, a slave CPU executes an
independent reset.
The error message appears in the lower row of the display and has the following format:

WARNING: UNEXPECTED RESET FROM SLAVE .....SYSTEM HALTED

The operator, pressing any button of the remote Console keyboard can force the unit to operate with
the faulty slave CPU circuits disable. This option must me used only in case of real need and under the
responsibility of the operator.

When one of these error messages appears, the operator can only try to reset the error condition
switching the unit off and on.
In case, the error message is followed by the activation of a motor breaker, the operator can try to re-
enable the motor carrying out the following procedure:

Switch-off the unit.

Activate the motor breaker; all breakers are located on the front bottom side of the electronic
cabinet.

Switch-on the unit.

In case the software has not cleared the error it is necessary to contact the Mecall Service team and
avoid any further action.

NOTE:

In case of assistance request is important that the operator minutely describe to the Service team the
errors messages displayed and the actual status of the unit.
That will allow the service team to reduce at the minimum the Service time.

WARNING:

The unit must not be used in case of fault of the proper circuits or of fault of the system in which
it is a part. Identically the unit must not be used in case any alarm device of the whole system is
faulty.
