Q. No. 1 Explain with the help of sketches the service connection from the main distribution line to the residential building.
Q. No. 2 Describe importance of rain water harvesting and give two examples of rain water harvesting for direct and
indirect use with illustrations.
Q. No. 3 How would you determine dry weather flow in sewerage system?
Q. No. 4 Explain different types of distribution patterns of water supply in city.
Q. No. 5 Explain the working of Sewerage Treatment Plant. Discuss in detail: Intermittent sand filters and trickling filters.
Q. No. 6 Describe conservancy and water carriage system of sanitary with their advantages and disadvantages.
Q. No. 7 Name different types of pipes used for plumbing purpose. Also give their advantages and disadvantages.

Q. No. 1 Design a toilet on ground floor attached with Master bedroom as mentioned below –

Counter Wash Basin - 1 No.
Drawing requirements are as follows:-
(a) Layout plan showing the detail of various sanitary appliances with their connectivity to the inspection chamber
to the private sewer line (Scale 1:10)
(b) Hot and Cold Water supply to the required places in the same plan.
Q. No. 2 Draw a typical arrangement for waste water from a toilet and a kitchen in a residential building. (You can assume
the size of toilet and kitchen). Give details for Nahni trap, Gulley Trap and Manhole.
Q. No. 3 Draw and label the section of an eight-storied apartment building showing cold water supply and central hot water
supply systems.
