Kuya Manuel bought Solmux® to your pharmacy last week and wants to buy different
medication for his cough because he doesn’t notice any improvement. His cough was dry and
no phlegm at all. He already has hoarseness of voice and you noticed he also has cigarette
smell. He was not taking any medications aside from his vitamin (Centrum complete®).

Patient: *walking towards the pharmacy and looking for the pharmacist* Excuse me sir, do you
have a pharmacist who is available in here?

Pharmacist Assistant: yes sir , please wait for a while

Pharmacist : Hello sir?....

Patient: Sir manuel

Pharmacist : Hello Sir Manuel , what seems to be the problem?

Patient: do you have any medicine for coughs? besides solmux?

Pharmacist : Yes, we do but can you tell me about the details of your illness?

Patient: last week and i want to buy different medication for my cough because i did not notice
any improvement of the solmux i took.

Pharmacist : Is it a severe pain or a light pain?

Patient: I can’t say??? . I mean sometimes it’s severe or sometimes s mild. You know it is a
cough but ni phlegm at all

Pharmacist : Do you have any medication besides solmux

Patient: Nothing , i only vitamins that’s all

Pharmacist: Do you smoke?

Patient: ERMM.... Yes.

Pharmacist: This is just a minor illness, But i would prefer you to consult to a doctor/
physician about this matter. For now, i well just give Otc Medication is a DEXTROMETHORPHAN
/ Menthol to lessen your cough , but don’t forget to still visit your doctor to further inspect your
health.

Patient: aw i see miss, Thank you ...

Pharmacist: And if you had your check –up , go to the near pharmacy that you will see and buy
the medicine that is prescribe to you.

Patient: oh okay Thank you miss. 
