Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access to Legal Education (IDIA) is a non-profit

organisation working in India which aims to empower underprivileged children by giving
them access to quality legal education. It was initially started by late Prof. (Dr.) Shamnad
Basheer in the year 2010 from West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences.[1][2]
It is a pan-Indian, student-run movement to train underprivileged students and help them
transform into leading lawyers and community advocates.

While the COVID-19 has pushed the world at back foot, the IDIA Uttar Pradesh Chapter sees
it as an opportunity for learning. Amidst the perplexed conditions with everything at halt, we
believe that students have enough time to think over their career and start working in that
direction. But, when it comes to pursuing higher studies in law from abroad, though many
students may aspire for it, they usually don’t have the clarity as to how they should proceed
in this direction.

So, the IDIA Uttar Pradesh Chapter has come up with the idea of conducting a series Online
Master Classes specifically focusing on the procedure and scope of pursuing higher
education in law from foreign. For the series, we have invited various law scholars who have
completed their higher studies from abroad and secured high positions. The classes would be
diverse in areas of law and highly inspiring

In the pursuance of the same, Today we have between us a very eminent personality, It is
pleasure and honour to warmly welcome amongst us Mr. PRANAY LEKHI

Pranay is currently working as a legal advisor in Allen & Overy, he has completed his LLM
from the University of Cambridge and his bachelors From West Bengal National University
of Judicial Services. He has previously been involved in firms like Dentons, he has also
worked at the law commission as the youngest Contributor from there to a teaching assistant
to LLM in UK he has proved his diligence in the field.
