General:
• The LED indoor luminaires shall be designed to operate continuously at the specified ambient
temperature and humidity with special attention given to the efficient heat dissipation in designing the
luminaire body to increase average lifetime.
• The luminaire (taking into account, body, LED components, drivers, diffusers, reflectors, etc.) shall
operate up to 40°CAmbient Temperature Ta.
• The luminaire storage (i.e. non-operating) temperature Tc shall be up to +45°C (or higher).
• All testing reports and calculation (luminaire efficacy, luminaire life time prediction, initial lumen output,
etc.) shall be based on 25oC ambient temperature.
Mechanical:
• luminaires with LED modules is not acceptable.
• Luminaires to be designed for the thermal management of LED technology.
• Body shall be designed to prevent any spill of light.
• The LEDs and driver shall be serviceable on site without any possible risk to maintaining luminaire
photometry.
LED Driver:
• The driver(s) shall be current driven. LED drivers shall be Constant Current type to have higher lifetime
and prevent light level fluctuations Constant Voltage Drivers are not permitted.
• Drivers shall be able to operate within a frequency range of 60Hz and 220VAC.
• Driver shall be current regulated +/- 5% including temperature variations.
• Drive – Ambient Temperature rating shall be from -25°C to 50°C.
• Driver - Case (Tc) Temperature rating shall be at least 75°C.
• Driver shall have an Active Power Factor, PF ≥ 0.95.
• Driver shall be Class I protected against electric shock following director indirect contact.
• Driver shall be equipped with protection against short circuit, mains voltage spikes, and overloads.
• Provide data sheets of the driver including, manufacturer, driver efficiency, catalogue code,
certifications and input watts.

Indoor LED Lighting Specification
LEDs:
• The light source shall be high brightness white light emitting diodes (LEDs) with individual minimum
efficacy of at least 95lm/W arranged modularly to provide the required lighting output. i.e lab test
performed at T=25°C.
• Color Rendering Index, CRI ≥80.
• MacAdams ellipse steps maximum 5.
• Correlated color temperature, CCT =4000-6000K.
(Warm Light shall be approved by RC as it decreases 20% of the light)
• Lamp Lumen Depreciation (LLD) shall be 0.7 and Luminaire Dirt Depreciation (LDD) shall be 0.86.
• The LEDs shall be from one of following reputed manufacturer, Samsung, Cree, Osram, LG, Bridgelux,
Citizen, Nichia or LumiLED.
• Provide LED data sheet.
Warranty:
The Contractor shall provide a written undertaking to the satisfaction of Ministry to warranty the
materials and performance as follows:
• A written warranty that LED luminaries will be free from defects in materials and workmanship during a
period of 5 (five) years from the date of delivery.
• A written warranty that the luminous flux of the LED luminaires will be at least maintained for five years
at a level that corresponds to the L70* B50 value.
• The initial nominal luminous flux (lm) and ambient temperature (Ta) max will be marked on the Product
label of the LED luminaire.
• A written warranty that all drivers and power supply units (PSUs) will be included into LED luminaire
warranty.
• A written warranty on the housing and mechanical parts for 10(ten) years.
