PRE- ASSESSMENT ACTIVITY NO. 1

Based on the introduction that I’ve watched, contemporary world is aim to help
students become interested in contemporary world problems and issues that all
societies face, develop competencies and construct knowledge. To become aware and
be responsible as citizens. Contemporary world is about globalization, like issues,
awareness, social debates and etc. We should know things happening to us to
become knowledgeable and aware to prevent or have solutions.

In our universe many things happened, like climate change, political problems,
health problems and etc.. Things can prevent and changed, we should contribute and
obey the rules in our universe. Even it’s just a little thing, the impact of this will be
bigger. Inequality, poverty, and criticism is happening in our society, we must do
something, especially to our government so that this maybe end or minimize it.

The issue that is close to may heart this days is about the corona virus that keep
spreading and increasing the positive cases. Because of this virus many things
happened, like the issue about are economy. Many filipinos lost there jobs that
caused many filipinos suffer and also the risk of those frontliners may I wish to
increase the salary of nurses in this country so that we have many nurses and also we
don’t think to go abroad. We might know when this will end, maybe when there is
vaccine, we are not sure. Virus can spread but we can prevent this. Also we may
understand our government because they suffering also because of our financial
status but we are thankful to those country who helped us. The good thing happened
this days many people encouraging to plant and that is good for our environment
and less vehicle is travelling, less pollution. This virus realize us about saving money is
important, have faith and pray, we might know one day our world will be covid free
and spend more time with our love ones

As a student, the only thing that I can contribute to this issue is to follow the
rules. Wearing of mask when going out, using alcohol before and after touching
things, don’t go out often when going outside that is not important. Prevention is
better than cure. Simple action is big impact to our society.
