DEDUCTIVE LESSON PLAN

Lesson: Structure of Sentence

I. Learning Outcomes: Students should be able to:

a) Identify structure of sentence

b) Formulate a sentence using this structure
c) Create a short video relating to your experience as a student using this rule.

II. Subject Matter: Structure of Sentences

III. Integration of Faith/Values:

Learning never ends, values never fade, keep learning the values of life just like a student to
pass the exams of life and get rewarded by the Almighty, just like a teacher.

Proverbs 4:10-11 Listen, my son: accept my words, and you’ll live a long, long time. I have directed
you in the way of wisdom, and I have led you along straight paths.

“Dependent clause is a group of

Always remember that

Independent Clause Defined.
An independent clause is
a clause that can stand on its
own, by itself. It does not need
to be joined to any
other clauses. However
Dependent Clause defined An “Yes ma’am”
Dependent clause that CAN’T

a sentence using this structure”

(The teacher will discuss and

lesson whole heartedly)

For today’s topic we will be

tackling about “Structure of
Sentence” means it is the way
of a sentence arranged,
grammatically. The sentence
structure of your writing
includes where the noun and
verb fall within an
individual sentence. Sentence
structure depends on the
language in which you're
writing or speaking.

In Structure of Sentence there

are 4 corners to be discuss.

 Simple sentence has the most

basic elements that make it
a sentence. A subject, a verb,
and a completed thought.

Example: Joe waited for the

train. The train was late.

Compound Sentence is
a sentence that has at least two
independent clauses joined by a
comma, semicolon or
conjunction. An independent
clause is a clause that has a
subject and verb and forms a
complete thought.

Example of a compound
sentence is, 'This house is too
expensive, and that house is too
small.

Complex sentences contain an
independent clause and at least
one dependent clause. An
independent clause has the
ability to stand alone as
a sentence.
A dependent clause cannot
stand alone, even though it has
a subject and a verb. Complex
sentences are friends and
neighbors to
compound sentences.

Example:
The human brain never stops
working until you stand up to
speak in public.

Compound-complex
sentences are the most
complicated sentences, as their
name implies. A compound-
complex sentence has at least
two independent clauses and at
least one dependent clause. In
simple terms, an independent
clause can be a sentence on its
own while a dependent clause
cannot.

 Example: Though Mitchell

prefers watching romantic
films, he rented the latest spy
thriller, and he enjoyed it very
much.
