1. Ask and tell the amount of something with

Social function : to tell availability of something
The grammatical structure : there is followed by a singular
There is (there’s) + a singular noun/uncountable noun
e.g - there is a car on the roads
- there is one police
2. there are followed by plural nouns
There are (ther’re) + plural nouns
e.g - there are three girls on the roads
- there are two people there
2. ask and tell amount of something with using : Much, many, a lot of
- Much : is followed by uncountable nouns in questions and negative sentences
e.g - there are not many vehicles
- there are not many traffic jams everywhere.
- there is not much smoke from the vehicles
- there is not much air pollution
3. ask and tell amount of something with using : A lot of
A lot of : is followed by countable and uncountable nouns, usually in positive
sentences.
e.g - there are a lot of people in the classroom
- there is a lot of milk in the refrigerator
4. to ask about quantity : How much, How many
- How Much + Uncountable noun
e.g - How much sugar is there in the bottle?
- how much water is there in the pond?
- How many + plural countable noun
e.g - how many people are there in the classroom?
- how many ticket that you bought ?
Tell about quantity with followed by : a few, a little, some, any
 - A few : is followed by plural countable nouns
e.g : there are few glasses in the cupboard
- a little : is followed by uncountable nouns
e.g : I like a little milk in my tea, please
- some : can be followed by plural uncountable nouns and countable nouns in
positive sentences
e.g : - I have some kittens
- there is some coffee
- any : can be followed by plural uncountable nouns and plural countable nouns in
negative sentences and questions
e.g : she doesn’t have any books
