1.0 PROCEDURES

1.1 Two Peg Test has been done to definite that the leveling equipment is well
or not.
1.2 The equipments for leveling test are situating like the figure below. The
leveling equipment at C and 2 sets of leveling rods at A and B. Distance
between CB and CA is 30m.

1.3 The leveling rods are read and record at A and B points.(assume that a and
b)
1.4 The difference of value a and b are recorded as e.
1.5 The leveling equipment is place at D where the distance of DA is 10
meter.
1.6 The leveling rods at A and B are read. ( assume that a1 and b1 )
1.7 The difference of a1 and b1 are recorded as f.
1.8 The leveling equipment is well if the value of e and f not exceed the value
+0.005m or -0.005m.
1.9 If the value that we get is more than that value, the leveling equipment
need to service.

3.0 DATA ANALYSIS

First setup level at C

Staff reading at A, a =1.527m
Staff reading at B, b =1.524m
True difference in elevations a-b = 1.527m -1.524m
e = 0.003m

Second setup level at D

Rod reading at A, al =1.493m
Rod reading at B, bl =1.500m
Apparent difference in elevations, f =0.007m

Error (∆e) in 30m, f-e =0.007m-0.003m

=0.003m
