 Grandfather gave my
brother and me some
money. “Go and buy
books,” he said. We
were both very happy.
We both love to read. 
 སྤོ ་ བོ ས ་ང་དང་ངའི་ གཅུང་པོ་ལ་སྒོར་མོ་འགའ་ཤས་བྱིན་

ཏེ། “སོང་ནས་དེབ་ཉོས་ཤོག” ཅེས་བཤད། ངེད་གཉིས་ཧ་ཅང་

དགའ་བྱུང་། ངེད་གཉིས་དཔེ་ཆ་ཀློག་རྒྱུ་ལ་དགའ་བོ་ཡོད།

go tomorrow? We
decided to go right
now. 
 ངེད་གཉིས་ད་ལྟ་འགྲོ་དགོས་སམ། ཡང་ན། ངེད་གཉིས་རྗེས་

 Should we go to the big market? Should we go to the small shop? Should we
go with somebody? Should we go alone? We decided to go to the small shop,
just the two of us.

 We like the small bookshop.
It is small but it has many
books. The man in the shop
likes us. He always helps us.

དེབ་ཚོང་ཁང་ཆུང་ཆུང་ཞིག་ཡིན་ཡང་། ནང་དུ་དེབ་མང་པོ་

ཡོད། དེབ་ཚོང་ཁང་དུ་ཡོད་པའི་མི་དེས་ང་ཚོར་དགའ་བོ་བྱེད་

ཅིང་། ཁོས་ང་ཚོར་རྟག་པར་རོགས་བྱེད།

Should I buy a book with many stories? 
Should I buy a thin book? I could not decide. 
 ངས་རི་མོ་མང་བའི་དེབ་ཅིག་ཉོ་དགོས་སམ། ངས་སྒྲུང་མང་

 We do not know which book to buy.
The man in the shop smiled at us. “Relax,
come with me,” he said. “These books
are about animals. Those are about
machines. Those over there are
about wars. Take what you want.”
 ངེད་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་དེབ་གང་ཞིག་ཉོ་དགོས་པ་མ་ཤེས། ཚོང་ཁང་ནང་

གི་མི་དེས་ངེད་གཉིས་ལ་འཛུམ་ཞིག་བསྟན་ཏེ། “ལྷོད་ལྷོད་བྱོས། ང་

མཉམ་དུ་ཤོག དེབ་འདི་དག་ནི་སྲོག་ཆགས་ཀྱི་སྐོར་རེད། འདི་དག་ནི་

འཕྲུལ་ཆས་ཀྱི་སྐོར་རེད། ཀན་ལ་ཡོད་པ་རྣམས་དམག་འཁྲུག་གི་སྐོར་

རེད། ཁྱོད་གཉིས་ལ་ག་རེ་དགོས་ན་དེ་ལོངས།” ཞེས་བཤད།

 I picked up some books. My brother picked
up some books. I sat on the floor. He sat on
the chair. And we read many stories. 
  ངས་དེབ་འགའ་ཤས་ལག་ཏུ་བླངས། ངའི་གཅུང་པོས་དེབ་

འགའ་ཤས་ལག་ཏུ་བླངས། ང་ཐང་ལ་བསྡད། ཁོ་རྐུབ་སྟེགས་

ཐོག་ཏུ་བསྡད། ངེད་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་སྒྲུང་མང་པོ་བཀླགས།

 It was very quiet. There
was no sound. One hour
passed. Two hours passed.
Finally, we knew which
books to buy. 
 ཚོང་ཁང་དུ་ལྷིང་འཇགས་ཆེ་ཞིང་། སྐད་ཅོར་ཅི་ཡང་མེད།

དུས་ཚོད་གཅིག་འདས། དུས་ཚོད་གཉིས་འདས། མཐའ་མར་

ངེད་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་དེབ་གང་ཉོ་དགོས་པ་ཤེས་བྱུང་།

 The man in the bookshop smiled at us. I got a fat
book with many stories. My brother got a big book
with many pictures. We ran home. We climbed on our
grandfather’s bed. He put his arms around us and then
we read many stories.
