Introduction: The Ministry of Defence (MoD) (Bengali: প্রতিরক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়; Protirakha

Montronaloya) is a Bangladeshi government ministry. The Ministry of Defence exercises
supreme command authority over the Bangladesh Armed Forces. It has three wings:
Army, Navy, and Air Force. It has formed on 14 April 1971.

Honorable Prime Minister is appointed as the acting minister of Defense Ministry.

Date of acceptance of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's fourth term: 07 January, 2015.
And the administrative chief of this ministry is Mr. Akhtar Hossain Bhuiyan who joined
the Defense Ministry as Secretary on January 1, 2017.

Mission:

1. To build a modern armed force to protect the independence and sovereignty of

Bangladesh and to combat any natural disaster;
2. Building an able and capable human resources in the armed forces to face the
challenges of the 21st century. Consistent with modern knowledge, skills and
technical expertise, this human resource is in line with the current world system;
3. Concept of different countries and international community;
4. To make a better, happy and peaceful world, ensure significant contributions and
participation in UN peacekeeping missions.

Vision:

To uphold the sovereignty of the country by coordinating the activities of the armed
forces, inter-divisional and other defense agencies.

Strength of the website: mod.gov.bd is the official website of ministry defence. The
website has given a decent number of information about the ministry of defence.
People can find all information about the ministry of defence of Bangladesh in the
website. The website contain ministry activities, citizen charter, development project,
law / rules, information regarding the ministry and so many other options and sub
content to find the relevant information from the website. It also has some important
links in the right side corner of the webpage and some emergency hotline. People can
enjoy the national anthem in the website. The other services of this website are
innovation corner and social communication service.

The website will give you latest news of all time. All kind of ministry of defence related
notice published every day in the home page.

Weakness of the website: The website has some defects like; it has only two language
system where there are more than 2000 languages all over the world. The English
language system in this website is very poor. After selecting the language Bengali to
English, it does not show any words or sentences in the webpage. Another weakness of
this website is, it has only one social media service which is Facebook, where there is so
many other social media all over the world like twitter, Spotify and others.

Recommendation: After all these research by all the group members, we recommend
this website to the people of our country and for other countries to visit this website. It
has all the updated news and notice published on daily basis. People can also get the
admission form in this website. The website also gives some online service too. People
can get internal e-service and Central e-services. In internal e-service, people can mail to
the organization for any kind of information they need and central e-services contain
online service application, document, required apps, birth and death registration, and
online police clearance, online passport application, updating national identity card
information, online run verification, pay online income tax, visa verification and so many
other online services.

good, fast, safe and important website. It may not be acceptable to the international
oriented but people from Bangladesh can easily found any kind of information from this
