The digital world is a vast world, you meet a lot of people,

you get to know them and mostly you'll get to have a

glimpse of who they are in the world of social media. A lot
of people now have conquered the different social media
platforms like twitter, instagram, facebook and a lot more
and it seems like there's something missing.... do you know
what is it? ....it's the netiquette. Netiquette is the correct or
acceptable way of communicating on the internet. As users
of social platforms, we have these netiquettes that will
surely help us become responsible digital citizens. Let me
share to you my netiquettes, these helps me become a
responsible digital citizen.
- Respect everyone. Respect their views/opinions, culture
and beliefs and when there's a misconception you want to
correct, correct them in a way that you will not offend the
other party. As much as possible, when you want to correct
them, do it by messaging them privately. Never resort to ad
hominem.
- Before sharing news, make sure that the source is
credible and that the news is really factual, refrain from
spreading fake news
- Always think before sharing or posting. Refrain from
posting anything that resorts to bullying/harassing
someone. When sharing anything, make sure it doesn't
harm/affect or offend anyone. Do not embarass/bully
anyone on social media platforms. As much as possible,
share something inspirational, educational and something
that entertains
- Lastly, never start a fight/argument with anyone on social
media platforms be kind always and apply these
netiquettes.
