People today spend too much time online and are becoming overly reliant on the internet to solve problems and connect with others, forgetting that real life exists outside of screens. While the internet allows constant connection and access to work, entertainment and education, it can also encourage obsessive social media use and an artificial need to portray perfect lives, causing some to lose touch with their real selves. Spending too much time online risks becoming trapped in virtual worlds and missing out on real life experiences.

Nowadays when modern technologies are everywhere around
us it’s normal to be online all the time. From watching movies and playing games to working and connecting with people, the possibilities of the Internet are endless. On one hand, the Internet gives us the opportunity to keep in touch with people living on the side of the world with just one click. We can also work from home or study online when it’s needed. On the other hand, people are slowly forgetting that the Internet isn’t the answer for everything. We’re so used to solving our problems online that asking others for help seems ‘old-fashioned’ or ‘awkward’. Everything we do has to be put on social media for others to see and be jealous of. People get so obsessed with faking a perfect life and putting masks on to be more liked that they forget who they really are. As useful as the Internet is, we shouldn’t spend so much time on it. Life outside the screen is still going and we shouldn’t be trapped online.
